  5. "How we blew it"
  6.  
  7. There is a bug in StuffIt Deluxe 2.0 that can happen, not always, but once is
  8. too much.  It occurs when converting a 1.5.1 archive using the "Convert Archive"
  9. menu item in StuffIt Deluxe.  It can also occur if you have the "Convert Archive
  10. On Open" option set in the StuffIt Deluxe preferences.  Basically the archive is
  11. not converted correctly and StuffIt Deluxe may report that the "Archive has been
  12. Corrupted".  Converting archives with the SIT Converter works without any problems.
  13. This application will "fix" any archive that has been corrupted by this operation.

  18. To fix a file that has been converted incorrectly, do the following:

  20. 1. Launch the "Dlx 2.0 File Fixer (UnConvert)" application
  21. 2. A dialog will appear asking you to select the archive that is corrupted
  22. 3. Select the file and click Open.
  23. 4. The file will be fixed (It will remain a 1.5.1 file)

  25. We have fixed the problem with the StuffIt Deluxe 2.0 application and have created
  26. an "Updater" application that updates StuffIt Deluxe 2.0 to 2.0.1. You should not
  27. use the "Convert Archive" feature within Deluxe until you have updated your
  28. application to version 2.0.1.
